About Me

Hello, and welcome to my website! My name is Joseph Millward, a health economist and public health researcher. Currently, I work as a senior researcher with the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health where I conduct and backstop research and program activities related to a wide variety of global health areas. I also work as a consultant for various projects related to public health and health economics, primarily in the area of data analytics and management/quality-assurance, cost-effectiveness evaluation, and health financing. I am also constantly developing new tools to aid program staff who are implementing health programs in their efforts to capture and assess program costs and outcomes.

Outside of my interests in economics and public health, I am an avid musician, and currently can play 7 instruments as well as sing (hoping to add more to the instrument roster soon enough). When I am not working, I love to spend time with my partner and 2 cats, usually comprised of trying out a new cooking/baking recipe (another hobby of mine), watching TV, biking, or traveling.
